The French Quarter Camping Village has Sold Out
New This Year: 'Glamping,' All You Need is Clothes and Bedding
Why pitch a tent, when you can arrive at your festival campsite with all the work done for you?
Imagine a rented 16-by-10 Bell tent with four cots, a rechargeable lantern, camp table, throw rug, decorative bunting, Rhythm & Roots swag and a private porta potty nearby. Show up with nothing more than your clothes, dancing shoes, bedding and a cooler, then go out and enjoy the music.
Called “glamping,” the new cushy and convenient camping experience is being offered at this year’s 20th anniversary celebration by our partner, Suburban Camping Company. The tent sleeps up to four, making it a great option for families, a group of friends, or anyone ready to step up their camping experience.
You’ll be hanging out with other like-minded glampers at The French Quarter a small tent village of colorful, waterproof tents. A festival camp specialist will be on site to assist campers throughout their stay.
• The $675 fee (four nights) for The French Quarter glamping can be paid in one payment or separated into three payments of $225. Payments are non-refundable. Deadline for the layaway offer is June 15, 2017.
• Pre-purchase full camping tickets separately, as The French Quarter puchaseonly includes the pre-pitched tent. Access to the campground is only available to those with full camping wristbands.
• Pre-purchasing shower wristbands is highly recommended. The showers no longer accept cash. Save yourself a walk to the ticket booth to purchase a wristband.
• Smoking is not allowed inside tents.
